Seems priorities change, interests move along. This is more a personal blog about my hobbies than anything else. Currently I am on a guitar thing. I make acoustic guitars, currently one size only. All my guitars feature a Padouk sound board since the second, as the unique tone response of Padouk is so special and is my 'trademark' so to speak. All my guitars have some form of inlay. Some inlay is from scratch, some is purchased as a set to install.
My current style is dreadnaught style, 16 inches at the large bout. My forms are my own sizing, my soundboard bracing is similar to the famous Martin guitars. I start with large billets of material and resaw them, making my guitars from scratch. I use Grover Sta-Tite tuners and can get higher end tuners on request.
Please take the time to peruse the menu of pictures. All models pictured on this site were built by myself, Jack Martin. Some may be offered for sale, some are already gone. Over the years many models have been built and no longer have a public place to live and must hide in a dark, secluded space away from appreciative eyes. We offer some of these for sale within the "Model Galleries" pages, as ready built models.
Many other projects like a car restoration and scale aircraft, ship, and train diorama modeling have been and still are interests, more on a back burner for now.
